To Go Container from Crate and Barrel
These are almost bento box style and easier to find! I love that they look like typical to go containers.  What do you think?

Kari Herer Photography
This print has been on the back of my mind for sometime now…id say over a year at least.  This artist gets continually highlighted and it only reminds me that I am missing out. One day I will pony up and buy it. By KariHerer

Today I'm thankful for...
A new job! Not only is a job and lets me get off unemployment and go back to a normal life schedule again but this place is soo cool.  They seriously promote a healthy lifestyle.  There are two workout classes a day.  So, instead of going and getting something unhealthy for lunch, I workout and then eat whatever I bring in.  It kicked my BUTT yesterday (my first day). Today wasn’t much...

Bento Boxes
I am finally employed again! I had a 2 and a half month hiatus and it feels good to get back into a normal routine.  I’m hoping this normal routine gets me back into being healthy and working out on a regular basis.  Luckily, my new company is AWESOME.  The building is LEED certified and they have so many things that I can just see encouraging me to stay healthy.  Today, I am going to do a...

Angel Hair Pasta with Chile, Lemon, and Arugula
TRY THIS. Pasta can be so heavy and, to me, is only a dinner meal.  However, this recipe is something I can eat nearly anytime.  It’s a perfect summer pasta.  The real thing that makes this interesting is the panko bread crumbs.  They just add an interesting texture to the dish.   Angel Hair Pasta w/ Arugula & Lemon serves 4-6 (recipe slightly adapted from Tyler Florence Family...

Herschel Bags and Accessories
I decided that I am going to post websites/brands that I love.  Mainly to remind myself when it comes time to buy certain things.  My next duffel will definitely be coming from Herschel.  Hopefully this will help me buy things that I will like in the long run and not buy junk that I will only like temporarily.

Pan-Fried Tofu with Dark Sweet Soy Sauce
This recipe is definitely a new stand-by.  Instead of simply pan frying the tofu, I breaded the tofu just like the earlier tofu recipe on this tumblr said…Dredged it in flour, then coated with a mixture of tofu and water, then coated with bread crumbs.  So delicious.  I also tripled the recipe for the sauce and added a lot of extra chili garlic sauce.  I am simply a sauce girl and just...

Kale and Couscous Salad
When I was younger, there were a couple of foods that my mom told me I probably wouldn’t like.  Of course, I wasn’t going to let someone TELL me what I wouldn’t like and so instantly, it became one of my favorite foods and has remained in that category since. (also, any recipe that includes sriracha is likely for me) This recipe is delicious and helped me discover yet another...

Apple and Thyme Crunchy Tofu
So, I looked in my fridge and realized I had some tofu that I needed to cook and I also had the leftover thyme from the baked potato I made.  SO…I typed in “tofu thyme” in pinterest and found this recipe.  This might be my favorite new recipe I have tried in the new year.  It was sooo interesting.  The tofu I used was just a perfect texture too.  I will definitely make sure to...

My attention has been taken by pinterest
HOWEVER, pinterest also brings a plethora of recipes my way sooooo on Pinterest, I will repin the recipes I want to make and then post about the recipes i ACTUALLY make (and like) here.  win. My method of picking recipes is that any recipe I make should require me to buy 5 ingredients or less.  Cooking elaborate recipes just defeats the purpose to me.  The reason I eat at home is to try and eat...

Soba Noodles with Bok Choy and Tahini
I just made this recipe and I have to say, it was pretty good.  However, I had to add some spice to the dish with some Sriracha.  I just have to have some sort of tang/spice in every dish I made.  Also, I just happened to have almost all of these ingredients on hand…which is exactly why I made this. about 1/4 of a package of noodles (soba, udon, or whole wheat spaghetti, or whatever...

Citrus Bok Choy Salad
Delicious! I just made this as a side salad for lunch. I didn’t have carrots and I didn’t really miss them except visually.  With only bok choy and apples, it looks a little boring.  One note about this recipe is that you realllly need the sesame oil.  The flavor reallly came through and made the dish pop. YUM! Also…so quick.  I just used what I had around my apartment.  I used...

Ralph Lauren Eyeglasses
I’m seriously dying to buy these eyeglasses.  I was thinking I was going to order those a pair of funky glasses from Warby Parker but, before they got delivered to me, I had gone to the eye doctor and tried these super fun and funky pink glasses on at the eye doctor.  Bad move.  I fell in love.  I was so ready to buy them and THEN I lost my job.  FAIL. So, for now, I have to exhibit some...

Browned Butter Balsamic Asparagus
This is my entire dinner.  I made one bunch of it and just couldn’t stop eating it. Yummy! Plus, you most likely already have all of the ingredients on hand! Browned butter seriously makes everything better! If you haven’t made Smitten Kitchen’s Browned Butter Rice Crispy Treats, you are seriously missing out! Via The Girl Who Ate Everything

Suno and Warby Parker
Ever since I saw this picture of Kate Bosworth at Coachella Suno has been on my style radar.  She is just sooo cute here and I love tie die! I always perk up when I hear the name Suno as I typically like the new lines and products. Well, I have been considering purchasing some hipster glasses from Warby Parker..yes, I know, I am giving in to the style…but I feel like anything I put on,...

Michael by Michael Kors Obsession!
I completely gave in to my shopping problem over the weekend with these shoes.  I can legitimize nearly any purchase and I legitimized these because I have literally had them on my mind for a year.  This shoe came out last year around the same time and sold out really quickly so, when I saw them again, I couldn’t resist.  They are just sooo beautiful! I. am. in. love.

My first lipstick
Yes, I mean what I say in the title.  I am 24 and over the past weekend, I bought my first lipstick…WEIRD.  I used to wear glosses and stuff when I was younger but I just didn’t get the point.  I am simply not the type of girl to reapply makeup often and lip gloss disappeared in what felt like minutes.  One of my many weird quirks is that I HATE the smell of...

Monday Lunch-Eggplant Puree with Walnuts
Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous! Who woulda thunk?! A gorgeous day in January! I mean, I know I live in Texas, but I swear it’s not even normal for Texas! I went on a walk with my mom and then went to starbucks and sat outside while browsing for some new things to post here and also read a bit of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Focusing on ME…CHECK. Saturday Morning Breakfast-Avocado Toast
Saturday morning breakfast! Delicious.  1 piece of toast (any bread you want, I am trying to be healthy so I went with some Sesame Ezekial bread) 1/2 ripe avocado Olive Oil Salt and Pepper Cut your avocado in half, keep the seed in the half you arent going to use…it helps it to keep longer.  Slice it in thin sliced and fan over your piece of toast, then use a fork to mash it to the...

Thursday Night Dinner-Cauliflower Pizza
I made Cauliflower Crust Pizza for our Thursday night dinner and workout this week.  Instead of making it hawaiian, I put onions, zucchini, baby tomatoes, and sun dried tomatoes on it! DELICIOUS! I basically doubled the recipe, cut a little bit of the cheese and added my own spices to the dough. It covered a little less than a cookie sheet. I also used half mozzerella cheese and have a Mexican...

Beautiful Simple Valentines Day Cards
Valentines day cards by Amy Marcella.  I loveeeeee these.  Even though I wasn’t a super enthusiastic Delta Gamma, I have a weak spot for anchors, so I am kinda in love with the anchor.  I am still considering getting that anchor tattoo that I told yall about awhile ago.  I need to just go with my gut and do it! Midcentury Desk
I know this is very similar to the nightstand I just posted but I love the contrast of the white with the wood on this piece.  I just am really loving all the midcentury modern stuff coming out these days and I thank West Elm for making it widely available. I know this isn’t from West Elm (although I wish it was). Antiques are expensive! Re: Design*Sponge

Mid-Century Night Stand
I’m seriously lusting over this nightstand.  I never thought I could feel so strongly towards a piece of furniture but…apparently, it’s possible.  As you know, my bedroom is all whites and greys and this nightstand would be perfect to takeover my current one that I bought at Ikea for $30.  It has such a nice retro design but is clean and crisp.   via West Elm

Contrast Mugs
Love all these bright colored mugs! They are called Contrast Mugs and are made by a Danish company called Royal Copenhagen. They are made of porcelain and covered with a silicone sleeve.  Unfortunately, they’re $50.00 a piece.  Guess they have to stay as eye candy. Found on DesignMilk
